Biography

About

South North Southwest is a Detroit-rooted R&B and soul artist whose voice cuts through the noise with raw emotion and undeniable presence. Her music blends classic soul with modern trap-influenced production, creating a sound that is both timeless and urgently now.

Born and raised in Detroit, South North Southwest has been crafting her sound since childhood — drawing from the city's rich musical legacy while carving out a lane entirely her own. Her 2022 debut project What Love Could Do introduced her as a force to be reckoned with, and her 2026 singles — including the viral Scorpion featuring That Mexican OT — have cemented her as one of the most exciting voices in independent R&B. With a voice that shifts effortlessly from tender vulnerability to commanding power, she brings a rare authenticity to every record.
